The charity organisation Tansania lächelt was founded on 20 November 2017. Tansania lächelt is recognized as a non-profit association by the tax administration of the Canton of Zug. 

We, the members of Tansania lächelt, want to create trust through fair behavior. Therefore, we adhere to the following credo:

Our Commitment

1. We support orphans in Tanzania, regardless of skin color, religion or gender.
2. In our projects, girls get the same opportunities as boys (e.g. schooling).
3. Our goal is to provide the children with the means to take their life into their own hands and to be able to care for themselves.
4. Any support for the individual projects also requires an action or activity by the locals.
5. We provide access to education and training, medical support and awareness training (such as unwanted pregnancies). In addition, to strengthen the self-confidence and self-esteem should be the central goal to encourage them to say NO.
6. We support medical surgeries when a child's life is in danger. We help with medication if it is vital for the children.
7. 100 cents per franc of the donations will be used for the children (there are no overheads at all).
8. The costs in Tanzania and any expenses involved are always paid with the membership fees and not from the donation account.
9. We inform clearly, transparently and completely openly. Reviewing our books is always possible for donors and members.
10. Together with the board, members or donors can visit the individual projects and check the progress.
11. The board and also the support members work on a voluntary basis without payment.
12. We do our utmost to ensure that the defined projects will be sustained in the long term.
